Teacher Professional Development
To support the continuous development of our teachers, enhance their skills, promote teamwork, and keep up with the latest trends in education, our school organizes teacher professional development activities on an annual basis. These activities include whole-staff and subject-based workshops, dedicated teacher professional development days, as well as joint-school professional development days in collaboration with the C.C.C. Joint-School consortium. Moreover, we strongly encourage our teachers to participate in training events organized by the Education Bureau (EDB), tertiary education institutions, and various non-governmental organizations (NGOs). To ensure effective implementation, our teachers regularly share their newly acquired knowledge with the entire team during meetings.
To assist new teachers in adapting to their teaching and administrative responsibilities, our school has implemented a mentorship program. Experienced teachers provide one-on-one guidance and support, not only helping new teachers but also allowing newcomers to share their past experiences and educational insights with their mentors. The mentorship program is designed with the objective of fostering mutual learning.
Furthermore, we encourage teachers to establish learning groups where members engage in co-planning meetings and conduct educational action research. Through lesson observations and shared feedback, the entire team can consistently improve and grow professionally. By prioritizing effective teacher professional development, our students can benefit from high-quality education, while fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
